We were asked by 38 Degrees to photograph one of their group discussion events tonight. Constituents and community groups got the chance to debate with their local MP on the subject of the Gagging Law, a bill moving through Parliament that has the potential to lessen communities' freedom of speech. It was a lively and interesting debate and Matt and I were really glad that we could help promote it with our photography.
Lots of people turned up to talk about their concerns and offer opinions about what they thought should be the best next step. I was particularly interested in the debate and discovered just how much I don't know about what our government decides for us. Photographing this event gave Matt and I a real sense of wellbeing once we had finished. It was nice to take part in something that has the potential to make a real difference in peoples lives.
